| Bio: | Name: Sir William Bellamy Character journal name: sir_w_bellamy Your photo-credit/PB: Ewan McGregor Age: 27 Nationality: Scotsman ![]() Allegiance and why: To his friends, whatever their rank or title Orientation: Straight, HE LOVES THE LADIES Social Status and/or Occupation: William has led a happy life and had a most wonderful childhood. He is the only son of a Scottish Feudal Baron, but the family has not 100 guineas to spare. His Grandmother has all the family money and gives it out to whomever pleases her the most. His father is a good fellow but has never had a head for figures, and is so completely in love with his wife that his coffers never stay full for very long. William's mother is a lovely woman who paints and sings all day and talks of nothing but fairies, fashion and Scottish folklore. She absolutely dotes on her son and only child. She is what makes his love of women so all consuming, yet he has never found one to quite hold his interest as long as she can, with all her dreams and odd ways. This might be a bit of a sticking point for William for his Grandmother has just decided he ought to marry and provide her with a great grandchild, though he does not know it yet. Appearance: William is an agreeable young man with dark blond hair and steel grey eyes. He has a quick smile and pleasing manners. His clothes are always the height of fashion but due to his breakneck riding and romps in bushes his clothes are often slightly askew. He has a tall, striking form and is reckoned quite handsome, if not a bit boyish, by all the ladies. Personal History; William is a charmer first and foremost. He has a good education, which would have been better still had he been less of a coxcomb and more of a scholar at Oxford University College and where he became a friend of many poets and writers. He loves to sing and dance and will attend even the smallest of assemblies and gatherings. He loves the company of all types and ages of lady, but has never been in love. He grows bored with women in the romantic way after a few weeks, but always remains their most dependable male friend after the romance ends. He is not spoiled, so much as indulged. He truly enjoys the condescension his Grandmother pays him but is very aware he has no fortune of his own and is wholly dependent on staying in her good humor. He loves horses almost more than people and spends much of the time with them, or in his garden, when not trying to woo some lady or other. His temper is quite even and he only becomes truly enraged when called a Toad Eater. He is much quicker than his languid manners let on, and very good at assessing people correctly and within minutes of meeting them, thus making him able to find exactly how to stroke everyone's ego in a way that soothed even the most disagreeable temper and flattered the most extreme vanity, all of which he does with true sincerity. He is much deeper in feeling than he ever shows, but he releases all those feelings in the most lovely of poems that he has published anonymously. He also publishes comedic prose under the name of George Garland. He is extremely good natured, he can bring joy and entertainment to the dullest of parties. His singing voice is clear and lovely, and he likes to sing whenever given the chance. Truly kind and romantic, once he cares for you your concerns are always his. He is the best rider and shot in any county he has been to, and he has relatives in many counties. He is steadfast to all his friends, quick to forgive any slight and has no enemies, or if he does they don't stay enemies for long. He always seems to spend beyond his means and has not a shilling of his own. He is fickle and often breaks hearts without realizing how serious the lady involved was. He laughs at the most inappropriate times and can be completely unaware of the gravity of a situation. He is often late or just does not show up to appointments all together due to some other adventure he has happened upon that he finds more appealing. He is quite afraid of ever falling in love. | |||||||||
